What You Need Before Printing

A browser — Chrome or Edge recommended
Chrome and Edge produce the best print output. Safari works. Firefox works. If colors look faded or backgrounds are missing, switch to Chrome.

An internet connection for first open
The documents use Google Fonts (Lora, DM Mono) that load from the internet. Open each file while connected so fonts load correctly. After that your browser caches them.

A color printer — strongly recommended
The documents use color coding that carries meaning — green for safe/go, red for caution/stop, gold for key rules. Black and white will still work but some of the visual distinction will be lost.

US Letter paper · A 3-ring binder
Documents are formatted for standard 8.5" × 11" letter paper with a 1.25" left margin — plenty of room for standard 3-hole punch without cutting into any content.

How to Print Each Document

Open the file in your browser
Double-click the .html file. It opens automatically in your default browser. Wait a moment for fonts to load — you'll see the document fully styled with the navy and gold color scheme.

Open the print dialog
Windows: Press Ctrl + P  ·  Mac: Press Cmd + P
Or go to your browser menu → Print.

Set these print options
Paper size: Letter (8.5" × 11")
Layout: Portrait
Margins: None — or Default (the document handles its own margins)
Scale: 100% — do not shrink to fit
⭐ Background graphics: ✅ CHECK THIS BOX — this is the most important setting. Without it, all the colored backgrounds and dark headers will print as white. In Chrome it is under "More settings."

Preview before printing
The print preview should show the cover page with the dark navy background and gold title. If it looks plain white, background graphics is not checked. Confirm the left margin looks wider than the right — that is the 3-hole punch margin.

Print and hole-punch
Print the full document. Then 3-hole punch the left side. The 1.25" left margin ensures no content is ever cut off by the punch. Repeat for each of the 6 documents.

Suggested Binder Organization

💡

Recommended: Use a 3" binder with tabbed dividers — one tab per document. Label the spine "Diamonds Trading Program — Reference Library." Keep the Decision Trees and Flowcharts together in the middle for fastest access during live trading sessions.

The prerequisite reading. Reference when learning a new concept or when reviewing options mechanics.

Tab 2 — Master Reference Summary
The core reference. The most referenced document in the library — rules, trade history, TA framework, quick reference card.

Tabs 3 & 4 — Decision Trees + Flowcharts
Keep these together. Use the trees for detailed if/then logic, the flowcharts for a quick visual reminder. These are your real-time trading guides.

Study reference. Return to this any time you want to deepen your understanding of a specific indicator or concept.
